Our Spanish wine buyer Helen McEvoy helped to create Perla del Mar. I was looking for a bright fresh wine but at a price which lets you share it generously with friends sitting around in the garden on a hot afternoon not worrying about the world. Helen met winemaker Pamela Geddes who got the idea right away. Its made from Muscat mainly - giving it lovely tropical fruit notes with Sauvignon adding clean zingy minerality and a hint of Viura used unoaked for delicious extra complexity.
