This Viognier comes from a vineyard in the CÃteaux du Limousin, and has been partially oak-fermented for a rich style. It is the brainchild of Jean-Claude Mas, one who is never too shy to make a wryly humourous observation on French culture. A pale golden colour belies an intense and complex wine, full of lush peach and apricot flavours, and heady notes of vanilla and warm toast, followed by a creamy finish. Try this with a mildly spicy chicken tagine or oriental food.
