The little-known Pecorino grape has a history dating back to Roman times, and it is still found ensconced in its natural home of central Italy, in this case the Abruzzo region. Pale golden in colour, with a zesty and complex nose of acacia, sage and a mixture of citrus and exotic fruits. Bracingly crisp on the palate, the citrus theme continues, with a nice dry finish. Ideal with all manner of fish or seafood dishes, but also a great accompaniment for delicate cheeses.
