Dark and brooding on the nose, with notes of black berries, violets, clove, tobacco and a hint of wood-smoke. The palate is more expressive, showing great depth and concentration, but also an ethereal floral note and sweet spice, framed by very masculine tannins and mouth-watering acidity. Reined in, taut and elegant, this is a wine built for the long haul; it needs a lot time to unwind, but also shows a great deal of potential. |
