| 75 Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 Merlot, 3 Petit Verdot and 2 Cabernet Franc, from the Monte Bello estate vineyards mature vines, which range from 40-60 years of age. Fermented by native yeasts and barrel-aged for 20 months in new and old American oak. Opaque garnet colour. Layered cassis and blackberry, fennel, dark chocolate, limestone/mineral notes, toasty oak. Complex fruit, tannins, and oak are impressively balanced. Drinkable now, and over the next fifteen years. |
