One of the most staunchly traditional winemaking regions, the Saint Mont appellation in Gascogne offers a number of indigenous grape varieties rarely found outside of southwestern France, as well as sharing Bordeauxs temperate maritime climate. The palate is savoury and warm with plenty of dark fruit. Rich and spicy with plenty of finesse. Drink within the next two-to-three years, with a pot roast or beef stew.
