The Armando vineyard has come a long way since current owner Estela Armandos grandfather began making wine there in the 1880s, transporting it over the mountains by mule, and selling it to workers on the Trans-Andean railroad. Deep crimson in colour, the wine has fragrances of cedar, spice box and red and black berries. Round and ripe in texture, with medium body and hints of pepper and chocolate. Showing its Italian roots, this Bonarda will go well with rich pasta, olives and cured meats
