The Cahill Lane offering from this boutique Californian winery is more restrained than others, it has real Burgundian tension with oak, fruit and structure in perfect harmony. Obviously produced with a nod to France with a lovely purity of Chardonnay flavours which would put many premiÃ¨re cru Puligny Montrachets to shame. With notes of hazelnut, apricot and hot buttered toast this is a real food wine which will drink now or cellar nicely for 3-4 years.
