Gevrey-Chambertin was one of the first villages in the CÃte de Nuits to establish itself as a viticultural hotspot. Its slopes of sparse, limestone-rich soils are known for producing Pinot Noir with good body and power. Deep red in colour with complex aromas of black fruits, liquorice and leather with smoky undertones. Nice balance in the mouth with supple tannins. An elegant wine with a long finish. A fine accompaniment to roasted guineafowl or pheasant with wild mushrooms.
