Gilles is the fourth generation of talented winemakers in the Gelin family, owners of Domaine des Nugues, whose humble 15 acres of vineyards in Fleurie are responsible for some of the best quality wines this classic cru has to offer. An inviting nose of crushed red berries is accented with subtle notes of rose petals, graphite and wet stone. Full bodied for a wine of this ilk, with a real sense of mass and plenty of lush tannins. Pair this supple red with pork chops or coarse pÃtÃ©s.
