From one of Petalumas excellent single-vineyard sites in the Piccadilly Valley, the coolest of South Australias vineyard areas, and one well-suited to making superbly balanced Chardonnay. The Tiers Vineyard was planted in 1979, on a relatively warm and low-lying part of the valley. The wine is powerful and full-textured, but has a Burgundian elegance that belies its origin.
