One of the most impressive things about this wine, especially for a first release, is that it is so cohesive. The oak gives the wine a quite different character to the straight Sauvignon Blanc but is beautifully controlled and seamlessly integrated. Lean vanilla and slightly smoky oak flavours wrap around gooseberry and passion fruit with some guava and green citrus emerging on the long, elegant finish. This is a wine of real class.
