This is a 5 detainer mortice lock which is suitable for sliding doors requiring an automatic closing action. Handles can be fitted to one or both sides and the key can be used on either side to secure both the bolt and the handle(s) and release hook. A projecting stump on the forend engages into the locking plate to prevent the door being lifted from the frame in the closed position. It measures 70mm from the face plate to the back of the lock.
