To do this, you stand on the first tee, press the button to register that position, then walk to say a fairway bunker, register that position, then walk to the green and register the middle for example. You can store many obstacles for each hole, its up to you. Do this for the rest of your course. Then next time youre on your course, the G9 knows exactly where you are and how far your next shot is to the middle of the green, or to layup short of some water etc... Its amazing!
