If you manage to hit your opponents sensor, it makes a sound and flashes a light. Very 20th century and, quite honestly, a bit tame! The clue is in the name; with Shocking Guns if you get hit, its not a feeble beep, your own gun discharges a *Zap* of electricity into your hand! Now thats real motivation! Yeeowch!
