Need to locate or avoid buried pipes or cables? The TOMCAT is a full function, industry standard locator. The TOMCAT is rugged, lightweight and packed full of features including a detachable speaker held close to the ear for use in noisy conditions. Fingertip controls adjust sensitivity and rapid switching between the TOMCATS three operating modes. The TOMCAT is used to assist in the location of buried pipes and cables offering three modes of detection. Power mode:- Locates live cables radiating a detectable signal. Radio mode:- Locates buried metallic conductors carrying a detectable signal by induction or connection using the Single Generator. Generator mode:- Locates buried metallic conductors carrying a detectable signal by induction or connection using the Signal Generator.
