The frame on the FX4 use weight optimized 7005 series alloy mainframes. This makes them both lightweight aswell as able to cope with the rigors of freeriding. The frame geometry is configured to handle 100mm travel at the front and 105mm travel at the rear. The bike is fully disc compatible to enable later upgrades. A Supertube II monotube swingarm is lightweight but most crucially enable efficient power transfer to the ground. | The front suspension on the FX4 comes from a combination of MCU and coil for improved rebound response. It provides a whooping 90mm of travel to just eat up those big hits. The rear travel is provided by a Scott EX Comp rear shock. Rear suspension helps by adding traction on climbs, aswell as making the ride more comfortable and aiding control. | This bike doesnt just focus on the obvious. Quality is found in the detail such as the Sram 5.0 cassette which is incredibly light aswell as providing smooth shifting power. The shifters are Shimano Alivio with Rapid fire for accessible shifting with minimum effort. There is a gear indicator to make this information easily accessible. The Shimano Alivio rear mech uses fluorine coated pivot pins for reduced friction which means shifting is lighter and more precise. The front mech comes from Shimano STX RC. | Forged alloy v-brakes provide the stopping power on the G Zero FX4. | The wheels are built from Alex Rims on lightweight alloy hubs. Tyres come from IRC and are Mythos which have a paddle tyre centre tread for climbing traction and braking properties. At the front, the Mythos helps with steering.
