Beautifully presented, this is the largest diecast version of this landmark bus ever constructed and should be a valuable addition to any collection. Manufactured by Sun Star Models Development Ltd of Macau, this is a LIMITED EDITION of 2000 pieces only

RM 8 was the first production Routemaster to be built, entering stock on 7 March 1961. Its first public appearance was at the Commercial Motor Show in October 1958. It was based at Chiswick and was principally used as a experimental and development vehicle. In 1975, RM 1368 was vandalised and RM 8 was sent out as a replacement. Thus RM 8 finally saw active service at Sidcup garage in 1976. This made it the first Routemaster to be built and the last to enter passenger service. Whilst at Sidcup it was used on routes 21, 51, 161, 228, and 229. This bus is now preseved by the RM8 Group.
