It will automatically identify the type of part you have, identify the pinout and measure important parameters. It supports most bipolar transistors, Darlingtons, MOSFETs, diodes, LEDs and more. For 2-leaded components, just use any pair of test clips, any way round. It will even identify special component features such as fly-wheel diodes and resistor shunts on transistors. The Atlas DCA will measure current gain for transistors, gate threshold for MOSFETs and voltage drops for semiconductor junctions (such as transistor base-emitter junctions, diodes, LEDs etc).
