The XC Pro is designed as a tyre that would track injust about any terrain without hinderances such as high rolling resistance or soft tread compounds. It uses Torch Tread which has different size stepped knobs: 5mm knobs to work in hard conditions and 2 and 3mm knobs to grip when the going gets soft. Burning edge side knobs extend further down the sidewall to grip better on corners. Increased durability and stability comes from Silica in the sidewalls. An anti-snake bike strip cushions the tube from the rim to prevent the occurance of pinch flats. The 2.1 has a deeper tread pattern. The 1.8 has a lower profile version which encounters less rolling resistance and reduces the rolling weight.
