Founded in 1956, by Franciscos family, he decided to resign his job as History professor in a college (after a dissertation about Treixadura and vinegrowing history in Ribeiro) and come back to his roots. He was the first to make a wines made entirely from the indigenous grape variety Treixadure with indigenous yeasts. The estate has vines covering 8 hectares which are spread over more than 35 plots.
