Bodegas Beronia is a relative newcomer to the Rioja scene. The winery was founded in the 1970s by a group of businessmen who thought the idea of their own wine rather attractive. They chose a perfect site on the slopes of the Mendiguerra mountains which was perfect for creating a style of Rioja that winemaker Matias Calleja describes as the most natural and genuine possible.
