The Pocket Wizard CM-N3-P Electronic Shutter Release Cable is designed to connect a PocketWizard device to a Canon camera supporting the N3 type remote release connection eg the 5D. This cable incorporates the Pre-Release circuitry which prevents the camera from going into sleep mode in the same way that holding the shutter button half-depressed does enabling quicker response to crucial shots. It should be noted however that battery consumption will increase.
