Chaser is a futuristic first person shooter set in the year 2044 with players taking the role of John Chaser who, at the beginning of the game, wakes up suffering from amnesia on board the spaceship HMS Majestic being pursued by a crack team of heavily armed shocktroop soldiers. The game then takes players into an apocalyptic future set on Earth and Mars.

As a result of having lived a life on the wrong side of the law, Chaser has become skilled in hand to hand combat, an expert in a wide range of weapons and has the ability to keep calm even when confronted with extreme pressure. He finds these skills and traits are tested more severely in Chaser than ever before
