First of the streamlined Coronations to be build with double chimney, the City Of Birmingham left the Crewe workshops in July 1939. By the end of its working life and after rebuilt in 1946, City Of Birmingham had traveled over 1.5 million miles and was eventually retired to the Birmingham Museum
