Meiomi is a native American word for coast, and it is along Californias coastal areas where winemaker Joseph J. Wagner has sourced his fruit, from a range of vineyard sites that each add specific elements to the blend. Fruit from Sonoma is said to offer plenty of round fruit and lush texture, while fruit from Santa Barbara and Monterey are employed for more earthy, spicy characters. Unified by 9 months in French oak barrels, the result is an opulent, complex and luxurious Pinot.
