The second wine of PrieurÃ©-Lichine, Le CloÃ®tre is a blend of around 50 Cabernet Sauvignon, 45 Merlot and 5 Petit Verdot, made from the same 24-ha vineyard as grand vin, but in an earlier-drinking style. Maturation takes place in second- and third-fill barrels for 12 months. The wine is elegant and supple, yet sufficiently fleshy and ripe to provide an involving feel on the palate, which offers a fine tannic structure.
