Alienor is the brainchild of Denis Malbec, former winemaker at ChÃteau Latour and his wife May-Britt, a winemaker and former sommelier. It is named in honour of AliÃ¨nor dAquitaine, who is considered to have been responsible for the proliferation of Bordeaux wines in the 12th century. Fittingly, this wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and is an interpretation of the St Emilion style, hailing from the northern Napa Valley.
