This winery was named after the pech or stony hill adjacent to the vineyards, in a region marked by the winemaking activities of the ancient Romans. The Tempranillo vines here were planted in 1980, on an area of gravelly clay and loam soils. An up-front and expressive wine, serving up a generous helping of blackberry and raspberry fruit with a touch of chocolate and liquorice on the nose. Middleweight tannins provide a supple texture. Fantastic foil for rich pasta in sauce or lasagne.
