Salice Salentino is a small town in the middle of Puglia, Italys heel, and was recognised as a DOC as recently as 1976, although wine has been made in this region since Greco-Roman times. This wine is a blend of the two principal native local red grapes. Vibrant cherry red with a garnet tint acquired through ageing.
