The G-Zero Junior is a full suspension race bike built to fit kids, not a kids bike changed a bit for racing. To custom tune it to race the Gzero uses race-specific componentry through the pedals, saddle ... |
FRAME | Recognize the G-Zero Jnr frame from somewhere? This is the same basic frame design as is used on adult G-Zero bikes. It is made from lightweight yet robust alloy tubing and uses a single pivot system for the rear suspension. | SUSPENSION | Suspension forks help younger riders to maintain control by helping steering over rough terrain. A research study by a German university has also proven suspension to be of benefit to the health of riders by reducing the likelihood of damage to the body from trail vibrations. The Sporty SE fork provides 50mm of travel. | DRIVETRAIN | The drivetrain on the G-Zero Junior comes from the reliable Sram stable. The Acera rear derailleur provides a light and precise shifting action through use of pivot pins designed to reduce friction. The drivetrain is 21 speed. | BRAKING | V-brakes are used on the G-Zero Junior and are made from alloy which is both robust and lightweight. | WHEELS AND TYRES | The Alex rims have a CNC surface for strength. Junior Racing tyres have a tread designed to give lower rolling resistance while also having trendy yellow sidewalls. The hubs have quick release skewers for easy wheel removal. | Scott kids bikes are shrunken versions of adult bikes. The function of the bikes is therefore almost an exact replica of the adult bikes |
