| Accompanying the PS2 game, the GBA version offers just as many of its big brotherıs modes and features. V-Rally Mode takes up the main bulk of the game. In it, the player signs up to a racing team and enters into a championship, playing through the multiple stages of each competition, in an attempt to achieve the highest ranking. Successful completion of the stages unlocks features such as tracks and cars throughout the other modes. Time Trial gives the player the chance to race against the clock in an attempt to achieve the quickest possible time, offering a ghost car to race against. In a similar vein to Gran Turismo, V-Rally Cross mode offers the chance to earn various licenses by racing head-on with computer opponents. | | Most impressive in VR3 are the 3D visuals. The scenery is constructed of texture-mapped polygons, whilst the cars are made up of scalable sprites rendered at different angles. This all makes up for an extremely believable experience, with long sprawling tracks flying by at a competent rate, throwing up twists, turns, jumps and hills. Itıs hard to believe but this game is easily on par with early PSone racing titles. It also bears a resemblance to the Saturn version of Sega Rally. | | If youıre looking for a racing game for your Game Boy Advance, then V-Rally 3 should certainly be given some serious consideration |
