This lightweight xc dream provides what you need to get the edge off the trail, aswell as keeping the weight low enough to not hinder your ride. |
| WEIGHT 2.6lb/1.18kg | TRAVEL 63/80mm (+4mm negative travel) | CONTSTRUCTION | This fork has a scalloped hollowed aluminium crown which keeps the weight low while retaining stiffness for steering precision. The upper tubes are ti-nitrided which gives a tough and durable finish which also reduces friction for a smooth performance. Weight is also reduced by the titanium hardware. | FUNCTION | The Sid Race features all travel adjustability which means that you can change between 63mm of travel for racing or 80mm for all day trail riding through kit free adjustment. All you need to do is change and remove spacers. 4mm of negative travel prevents top out. The single sided dual air spring offers infinite spring rate adjustability using simple schraeder valves. Dual Air uses two opposing air springs which allow spring curve and preload adjustment. This means that the plushness of the fork can be adjusted simply by altering air pressure. Alongside this is Pure damping which features external adjustment of the compression and rebound damping. The independent floating piston prevents oil emulsification. The ultimate in tunability and performance comes from the two entirely independent damping circuits. | MAINTENANCE | To make maintenance easier on the fork, XXX seals are fitted as standard. The outer seal keeps out the crud. The inner seal keeps the oil in, and in the middle, a little magic. An oil soaked seal keeps the other seals lubricated and keeps everything slidy. In addition, the Sid bushings are twice as long this year which means that the ride is plusher, aswell as lengthening the life of the bushings, so they are replaced less frequently. | | A lightweight xc fork, full of technology, but not full of weight |
