This high quality fork is packed with performance features to handle whatever the trail chucks at you. |
| WEIGHT 3.8lb | TRAVEL80mm, 100mm (adjustable) | FUNCTION | The Float range of forx are air sprung. Coil type performance is attained by the standard Schrader valve air filler. Bump performance is further advanced by the SDC shimmed damping control. This uses a multi-staged, multi-circuit damper to meet the differing requirements of compression and rebound damping. There are separate damping circuits to respond to compression and rebound and they automatically give you the correct amount of damping for different shaft speeds. The RLC model offers rebound adjustment over a ultra-wide 12-click range. Low speed compression damping has an eight click adjustability range while factory tuning controls the high and mid-speed damping circuits. It also offers the added feature of on the fly lockout. This also has the feature of a blow-out circuit which will mean that the fork is still able to handle unexpected big hits. The pressure required to activate this is adjustable by a threshold knob. Pre-load is adjustable by 12mm of spring. | CONSTRUCTION | The construction of Fox Forx is generated round the PSC precision steering control system. Crucial to this is 32mm diameter stanchion tubes. This works with magnesium in the lower legs which is a remarkably stiff material for steering control. These one piece lowers are developed using the "webbed truss" fork brace design that has come from Fox's motorcycle division - to offer strength that eliminates the need for a 20mm axle! The stanchion tubes are constructed from 7075 T6 aluminium which provide lightweight through the "Float" design 7075 T6 aluminium is also used for the steerer tube. This is butted to strengthen crucial parts of the tube. 6061 T6 aluminium is used for the crown and the springs are constructed from shot-peened chrome silicon to offer dependability and durability. | MAINTENANCE | Fox Forx help keep muck out through use of oil seals with patented scraper-lip technology. They also features the largest bushing overlap of any fork in this class, which reduces wear. | | This lockout fork also has adjustable rebound, compression and all the performance features you'd expect from Fox Forx, in a lightweight air sprung design |
