25 hectares of layers of sand and gravel on a sub soil of iron clay, the property of the Arfeuille family and being Pomerol AOC, predominantly planted with Merlot, 75 in fact, with 10 Cabernet Franc and 15 Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are always aged in oak after pre-selection of the best cuvees, in one third new oak barriques for 10-18 months.This vintage is rated **** by La Revue du Vin de France. A sustained purple colour with a nose revealing cherry fruit and smokiness. Full on the palate with firm tannins and rich plumminess, with a fine aromatic finish.
