Based on the hit PC sequel to Sid Meier’s original classic, Railroad Tycoon II puts you in charge of developing a large-scale railroad system in any one of several continents. Lay track, build stations, buy trains, and start hauling freight or passengers – it may sound, simple, but this is a deep and complex real-time strategy game that will have you constantly tweaking routes, improving stations and track, and ruthlessly building your railroad monopoly.

The game is scenario-based, with various missions such as connecting two cities together in a certain time frame or driving your competitors out of business. The Dreamcast version is not just a port of the PC version but instead features several enhancements and differences, including an entirely new, fully 3D graphics engine that can be fully zoomed and rotated at any angle for a better view of the terrain (important for planning track-laying routes).
