Despite the budget price, Yamaha are good at making recorders so this one doesn`t sound bad! The manufacturer themselves say `superior tuning, durability and beautiful tone`. This may be a bit of an exaggeration but, they do sound quite nice. If you are buying this for your child, this recorder is as good as any budget instrument - and unlikely to have you reaching for the earplugs.
