It has 2.6x larger pixel size than most other CMOS sensors giving better sensitivity and dynamic range which of course translates into superior image quality, especially in challenging lighting. The camera records in AVCHD format onto its 64GB internal flash memory or alternatively onto two optional SDHC cards at a bit rate of 24Mbps. You can also use the twin slots to simultaneously record the same footage to two SD cards.Lens QualityThe Canon HD Video Lens on this camcorder has a shockless 10x zoom mechanism with variable zoom speed.
