The MV4 includes a unique extended recording function that substantially increases the length of recording time per cassette and prevents the running out of tape during critical shooting moments. To achieve extended recording, 2x greater image data compression is applied resulting in a recording time, which is 3x longer in ELP mode than that in Standard (SP) mode. For example, in ELP mode an 80-minute DV tape will record 4 hours of video footage. Featuring an improved RGB progressive scan CCD, and Canon's image stabilizer and optical 10x zoom lens, the MV4 is ideal for advanced camcorder users who demand a high level of image and color resolution.
