In the sidewall, the DH Pro uses an extra layer of rubber to reinforce the already strong casing. Silica compound is added which makes an incredibly tough sidewall so that you can run lower pressures and gain the additional traction without risking pinch flats. This tyre also provides more stable cornering, which you'll need if you're into downhill or dual slalom. The centre tread is designed to be more supple to improve traction and braking. Stepped Torch Treads mean that higher knobs are able to grip in hard conditions, whereas lower knobs are of use in softer condtions.
